Test a Budget Shift on Paper Before You Move Real Money

The Budget simulator models what happens to your leads if you move part of your budget (or effort) from one channel or campaign to another, as an honest range. It answers “what if we moved 20% from Google to Meta?” and leads with the break-even number.

What happens to my leads if I move ad budget?

It depends on whether you're planning a shift or reviewing results. To model moving part of your budget from one channel or campaign to another, the Budget simulator gives an honest range and leads with the break-even number. Type /simulate to run it. To see which ads earn their spend now, use Ad creative performance. For search terms, Keyword performance fits better. To follow revenue by channel, pick Revenue by source.

What it is: The Budget simulator is a what-if report from the free UTM Grabber Reports skill for owners and media buyers that models a budget move on your real numbers, as a range.

What this report answers

Would moving budget from one channel to another add leads, or cost them?
What's the low and high end of that change?
How many extra leads does the receiving channel need to break even?
Would the reverse shift do better?

Built for: Owners and media buyers about to move budget between channels.

Why You Can Trust What It Tells You

Works even without spend data

Without spend, the donor loses its share of leads, and the best case is that the receiver wins them all back.

Uses your real cost per lead

With spend, the donor loses leads at its average cost per lead, and the low end assumes the receiver gets less back as spend grows.

Ranges with every assumption named

Every projection is a low to high range, and the notes name every assumption behind it.

Questions about this report

Is this a prediction?

No. It's a model with stated assumptions, shown as a range. If you run the shift as a test, it tells you the weekly number to track.

What if I don't give it a scenario?

It models your 2 biggest channels and says so in the subtitle, so you can see the shape of a shift before you pick one.

Why is the best case often flat?

Without spend data, it assumes effort buys the same leads in both channels, so moving effort can at best win back what the donor loses. Connect your ad accounts for a cost-based model.

Capture the Whole Journey, Starting Today

The free plugin remembers each lead's last click. Every UTM Grabber Premium plan, from Starter up, also records where they first found you, more ad click IDs and what kind of visit it was, from the day you upgrade.

Premium starts recording the day you upgrade. It can't fill in visits the free plugin never recorded, so every week on free is a week of first touches and click IDs you won't get back.
