# See Where This Month's Leads Came From and What to Do Next

The Monthly performance review is the flagship UTM Grabber report: one read that tells your month's lead story. It answers how many leads you got, how that changed against the month before, which channels, sources and campaigns sent them, and what to do next.

Published Oct 19, 2026. Updated Oct 20, 2026.

## What's the one report that sums up my whole month?

It depends on how often you report and who reads it. For a full month's lead story, the Monthly performance review is the one to send: leads against last month, the channels and campaigns behind them, and what to do next. Type /monthly to run it. For a short Monday update, the Weekly executive summary fits better. If you present to a board each quarter, use the Quarterly business review. To rank every campaign on its own, pick the Campaign leaderboard.

What it is: The Monthly performance review is the flagship report from the free UTM Grabber Reports skill for owners, marketers and agencies that tells your month's lead story and what to do next.

- Report: Monthly performance review (Core performance)
- Shortcut: `/monthly`
- Sample data from Northwind Dental, a fictional dental practice. Sample headline: “September brought 1,120 leads, 12% more than August.”

## What this report answers

- How many leads did we get this month, and how does that compare with last month?
- Which channels, sources and campaigns sent them?
- Which channel opens journeys that another channel gets the credit for?
- Which campaigns are rising, which fell, and what should we do about it?

Built for: Owners, marketers and agencies who need one report to forward to a boss or a client without editing it.

## What's in the report

1. An outcome headline with the month's lead count and its change, plus the top source and the share of leads that arrived fully tagged.
2. 4 headline numbers: leads, leads per day, paid share and fully tagged share.
3. Your channel mix, and with UTM Grabber Premium a first-touch vs last-touch chart that names the channel opening more journeys than it gets credit for.
4. Top sources, and a campaigns table with each campaign's share, change and trend.
5. Leads per day, this month against the month before.
6. 2 to 4 next steps and a closing line that names the source to feed.

## Why You Can Trust What It Tells You

- **Next steps from clear limits.** You get a next step when tagging falls under 85%, a campaign drops below 60% of its previous volume, or a campaign grows fastest.
- **Every change has a comparison.** Your AI pulls this month and the month before together, so each number in the report sits next to last month's.
- **Stays focused on your leads.** The report leaves out spend and cost, so ask for Full-funnel performance when you want spend and revenue in one story.

## Ask your AI

- `/monthly`
- “How did we do this month?”
- “Give me the monthly report for September and compare it with August.”
- “Which campaigns grew this month, and which ones slipped?”

## What it uses

- Your UTM Grabber leads for the month (or the last 30 days) and the month before.
- UTM fields and click IDs, which the free plugin captures.
- First-touch fields from UTM Grabber Premium, for the openers vs closers chart.

On Free and Starter your AI reads only your last 30 days, so the report shows this month without the month before. Starter+ and Premium add the comparison.

### Which plan do you need?

What your AI can read from UTM Grabber:

- Free plugin: Your last 30 days, with a fair-use allowance (this report)
- Starter: Your last 30 days, with first touch and more click IDs
- Starter+ or Premium: Your full history, unmetered

The report designs need an AI app that supports skills: Claude, Codex or Cursor. ChatGPT gives the same plain-English answers from your leads, without the report designs.

## Questions

### What's the difference between the monthly and weekly reports?

The monthly covers 30 days or a calendar month and tells the full story: channel mix, sources, campaigns, the daily rhythm and next steps. The weekly is the Monday one-pager: the last 7 days against the 7 before, built to print on 2 pages.

### Does the monthly report include ad spend?

No. It's built from your UTM Grabber leads, so it talks about leads, channels and campaigns, never cost. Connect Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics or your CRM to the same chat and ask for Full-funnel performance to see spend, customers and revenue.

### What does my AI run if I just ask for “a report”?

The monthly. When a request is vague, the skill treats it as the default report, so “send me a report” gets you the month's lead story. Under 10 leads, it still runs and says the sample is small.

## Capture the Whole Journey, Starting Today

The free plugin remembers each lead's last click. Every UTM Grabber Premium plan, from Starter up, also records where they first found you, more ad click IDs and what kind of visit it was, from the day you upgrade.

- Last-click UTM tags: free plugin yes, UTM Grabber Premium yes
- Google Ads click ID (gclid): free plugin yes, UTM Grabber Premium yes
- First touch: free plugin no, UTM Grabber Premium yes
- Meta and Microsoft Ads click IDs (fbclid, msclkid): free plugin no, UTM Grabber Premium yes
- Traffic labels: free plugin no, UTM Grabber Premium yes
- AI assistant visits: free plugin no, UTM Grabber Premium yes
- WooCommerce orders: free plugin UTM tags saved, UTM Grabber Premium Full source on every order

Premium starts recording the day you upgrade. It can't fill in visits the free plugin never recorded, so every week on free is a week of first touches and click IDs you won't get back.
