# Give Every Channel Fair Credit, From First Visit to Form

## Which channels find new people, and which only close them?

It depends on whether you care about the first visit or the last. To connect each lead's first visit to the one that converted, and give every channel fair credit 3 ways, Customer journeys is the report to run. Type /journey to get it. To follow store revenue, use Revenue by source. For leads from AI assistants, Leads from AI assistants fits better. To compare ad variants, pick Ad creative performance.

What it is: Customer journeys is a first-to-last-touch report from the free UTM Grabber Reports skill for marketers defending top-of-funnel spend that shows which channels open journeys and which close them.

- Page: https://utmgrabber.com/mcp/reports/journey/
- Report: Customer journeys (Paid media, revenue and journeys)
- Shortcut: `/journey`
- New in UTM Grabber Reports skill v2.0
- Plan note: Needs UTM Grabber Premium
- Sample data from Northwind Dental, a fictional dental practice. Sample headline: “Organic search opens 228 journeys but closes only 150.”

## What this report answers

- Which channel opens the most journeys?
- Which channel closes them?
- Which channel does last-click reporting undervalue most?
- What share of leads changed channel between their first visit and the form?

Built for: Marketers defending top-of-funnel spend such as social, content and AI search.

## What's in the report

1. A headline like “{Channel} opens N journeys but closes only M,” plus the share that changed channel and the top closer.
2. Numbers for leads traced, changed channel, top opener, top closer and revenue traced.
3. A flow from first visit to converting visit, for the 5 biggest channels plus Other.
4. Openers vs closers, side by side for every channel.
5. Fair credit tables for leads, and for revenue when deals or orders are connected, with Undervalued, Overcredited or Even badges.
6. Next steps on what last click would wrongly tell you to cut.

## Why You Can Trust What It Tells You

- **Credit shared across the journey.** The 50/50 split gives half of each lead's credit to each touch, and a lead that stayed on one channel gives it full credit.
- **Finds undervalued channels.** A channel is undervalued when the split gives it 10%+ more than last click does, and 1% of the total, and overcredited in reverse.
- **Missing data is counted openly.** Leads without first-touch data are left out and counted in the notes.

## Ask your AI

- `/journey`
- “Which channels start our customer journeys?”
- “What would last-click reporting wrongly tell us to cut?”
- “Compare first touch and last touch for this month's leads.”

## What it uses

- Your UTM Grabber leads with first-touch fields (first source, medium, referrer and landing page), which UTM Grabber Premium records.
- Last-touch UTMs and click IDs from the free plugin.
- Optional: won deals from HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive, or WooCommerce orders, credited the same 3 ways.

### See the First Visit Behind Every Lead

Needs UTM Grabber Premium. Customer journeys compares each lead's first visit with the visit that converted. UTM Grabber Premium records that first visit: its source, medium, referrer and landing page. The free plugin keeps only the last click, so on free data you get a short version with today's last-touch mix.

Starter+ and Premium open your full history to your AI. First visits exist only for leads that Premium recorded.

### Which plan do you need?

What your AI can read from UTM Grabber:

- Free plugin: Your last 30 days, with a fair-use allowance
- Starter: Your last 30 days, with first touch and more click IDs (this report)
- Starter+ or Premium: Your full history, unmetered

The report designs need an AI app that supports skills: Claude, Codex or Cursor. ChatGPT gives the same plain-English answers from your leads, without the report designs.

## Questions

### Why does it need UTM Grabber Premium?

Premium records each person's first visit: its source, medium, referrer and landing page. Without it there's no first touch to compare, so with fewer than 10 leads carrying first-touch data you get a short version showing today's last-touch mix.

### Is this an attribution model?

It's 3 plain views of the same leads: who opened the journey, who closed it, and a 50/50 split. Every rule is printed in the notes, so nothing is a black box.

### Can it credit revenue, not just leads?

Yes. Connect your CRM, or use WooCommerce orders, and it credits won revenue the same 3 ways. WooCommerce orders take priority, because they carry their own first touch.
